Blue Monday

Oh Monday. So maligned. Probably the most hated day of the week. It feels like you're just really getting into the weekend and then, BOOM. Monday happens. And with the gloom and cold of winter waiting to greet you first thing Monday morning, it's so much worse this time of year. And few things raise my blood pressure more than when people say, "Happy Monday." Just … no. shudder

That's why I wore this to work.

See? Look at that dirty, half-melted snow and sad excuse for sunlight. Needs sparkles.

It's like the mullet of outfits: business on top, party on the bottom. You know all those "What Not to Wear to Work" lists that say not to wear your sequined party clothes to the office? Eff those lists. Those lists are wrong. Actually, I'm pretty sure I've never worn this skirt anywhere except the office. So that makes these my "office-sequins." The bottom line is that Monday deserves a little something sparkly to make it less miserable. Monday NEEDS this skirt.

I'm wearing: oxford shirt from Uniqlo, skirt and ankle boots from Target, fleece-lined tights by Steve Madden, glasses from Coastal.com

Between this and my first post, I feel I should offer this disclaimer: I don't only wear sequins. I promise.
