I love spring. I mean, I really love spring. I love pastels, baby animals, the gradual greening of the landscape after winter. I love when my flower bed erupts into a rainbow of tulips and the tree in my yard showers the lawn with white flower petals like confetti. Hell, I even love Easter, even though I'm not religious. After all, it's the holiday with the best candy. Don't argue with me about that — you're wrong. So, where better to celebrate a spring vibe than at the pastel wonderland that is Malley's old-fashioned ice cream parlor in Lakewood? And because I'm not one for subtlety I wore all the pastels.
I am incapable of saying the word "bunny" aloud or in my head unless it's in the voice of Behemoth from the Nightmare Before Christmas.
A note: I've had a few people ask why I haven't been posting anything for some time. I've just been really busy. I started doing jiu jitsu, I'm training for a half marathon, there were a lot of social events in March, and I've been doing a lot of craft projects and reading. And truthfully, the last thing I want to do after sitting in front of a computer screen all day at work is go home and sit in front of a computer screen. My personal policy for this blog is quality over quantity. If I don't have time to craft a compelling post, I'm not going to hammer something out just for the sake of posting. Big thanks to those who read this. I really do appreciate it and you!
